Smiley Girl is Ready for Baseball!

I love when I hear her fussing in her crib and I go in to check on her and she just looks up and smiles at me as if to say "Hey Mamma! I was just missing you, so I wanted you to come in and look at me!"

This is just a bonus picture because her daddy is a Mets fan, and I have better taste than that!

Oh, NO! Here I thought you were a reasonable and rational person, and now I learn that you're dressing your innocent new daughter in Yankees apparel?! I guess, given the NYC connection, you were probably coerced or brainwashed, so I won't blame it entirely on you. If I had your address, I'd send you some Red Sox gear for Bridget. Poor little girl. I hope she grows out of it. :-)

My family may all be in New England, but there's Bronx blood in all of our veins.

A friend of mine up your way called me from Fenway early in the season and said she was picking out something for Miss B. I said, no problem, and I'd be sure to send her kids something from Yankee Stadium as a thank you. She hung up on me!

My brother is a Yankees fan, and we're thinking of asking him to be a godfather (in spite of that glaring flaw). I have a feeling he's already planning to outfit Ishka in something with pinstripes. Sometimes, I enjoy the rivalry more than the actual games.

She's gorgeous.

I'm all for the mets too, my part of the world when I spent time there.

Your brother is a good man, B! Unfortunately for my husband and my New England family, Bridget's mamma, Godmother (my sister - who lives up your way and is married to a Sox fan), and Godfather (my SIL's husband), are all Yankee fans. If they had Yankees embroidered christening gowns, I think the Godfather might have purchased one!

Xbox! Do you really get that close to Citifield/Shea Stadium? I live 5 minutes away from there! And thank you - we think she's pretty cute, too!

Yeah my sister lives a little further out the island, few stops on the LIRR.

I've been to Shea a few times but that was 94 and 97. One of those was during the strike I think.
